These terms cover your use of Shelfclip: the Mac and iPhone apps, shelfclip.com and the Shelfclip connection for AI assistants. By using Shelfclip you agree to them.
Your clips are yours
You own everything you copy into Shelfclip. You give us permission to store, process and sync it only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy page. Don't use Shelfclip to store content you have no right to keep.
Plans
- Free: unlimited local history on your Mac and 100 AI-organised clips a month. Clips beyond that are still recorded and wait, unorganised, until you upgrade.
- Pro ($4.99 a month or $39 a year, with a 14-day free trial): unlimited organising, sync to your iPhone, search by meaning and permanent history. Subscriptions renew until you cancel. Cancel anytime; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Lifetime ($119 once): Pro for as long as Shelfclip runs, with fair use of 3,000 AI-organised clips a month. Above that, clips are organised at a slower pace rather than stopped.
Web and Mac-download purchases are sold by Polar as merchant of record, under Polar's terms; App Store purchases are sold by Apple, under Apple's terms, and refunds for them go through Apple.
Fair use
Don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, and don't use it to store or spread malware or illegal content. We may limit or close accounts that do. Connected AI assistants act on your behalf and count toward your plan's limits.
Skills installs
Shelfclip can install AI skills from public repositories you copied. Those files come from their authors, not from us. Shelfclip shows what a skill contains before you install it; you decide whether to trust it.
The service
We work hard to keep Shelfclip running and your data safe, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties, to the extent the law allows. Our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Changes and ending
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect. You can stop using Shelfclip and delete your account at any time.
